The weather was pretty nice in Greece, not to hot, not to cold, well a little to cold for the beach, but it was a nice
change from the last few weeks, nice to be able to walk around in a t-shirt. April or May is the best time to go I
think, not to crowded, and not to hot, last year in June it was in the 40's which would have been way to hot to walk
around.

Lots of history to see in Athens, Acropolis, Pantheon, and various other temples, it was quite nice strolling through
the parks, I was surprised to see so many tortoises strolling around, it added a nice touch. Other than the ancient
ruins there isn't much to see in Athens, which is quite dirty, lots of graffiti, and the beaches were very dirty, with
garbage everywhere, it was quite a shame. I guess they don't care about the beaches near the city, when there are so
many nice beaches on the various islands, which unfortunately we didn't have enough time to see.

Greek food isn't overly exciting, other than nice Greek Salad, with fresh Feta, and juicy tomatoes, and nice Gyro's
Pita's for a snack, the rest of the food is a tad bland, and we weren't overly impressed. At least Greece is a bit
cheaper than the rest of Europe, but I am sure it was cheaper there before it adopted the Euro.

We then had to get up nice and early on Sunday to fly back to Amsterdam, I was rather annoyed in the airport since they
allow smoking pretty much everywhere, it's rather disgusting! Yesterday me and mom went to Keukenhof Gardens, which was quite nice,
so many flowers, and we had a pretty nice day for it, a little chilly with the wind, but some sun, and more importantly
no rain.

Today is my mom's last day with us, it will be sad to see her go, but I know she is tired of travelling, and is a little
bit homesick. But hopefully she enjoyed her time here, and perhaps she will travel again, and maybe visit me in Asia. I
will leave with Tan on May 1st, either Singapore, or if I can change my flight with KLM we will start in Bangkok. Quite
strange that I can't change my ticket online or over the phone, I physically have to go to the airport to make the
change. Seems quite backwards in today's technology. But I won't rant to much more about that!
